Bathing in sun (& lake)
The northern part of the Vahrner See was used in the summer months with pleasure by young and old, locals, transients and guests as a bathing lake. Depending on the weather, the water temperature varies between 16 and 23°. A wonderful sunbathing lawn offers enough space for sun worshippers of all kinds.
Framed by reeds, the lake has gained a certain fame due to its iodine-rich water and excellent water quality.
Unfortunately, swimming in Lake Vahrner is currently not possible due to an ongoing recovery of war material.
The evaluation of the bathing water quality based on the results of the analyses of the bathing season 2010 and the three preceding bathing seasons in the sense of the valid law resulted in "EXCELLENT" for the Lake Vahrn
